COSTS: subscribing to a learning management system like Moodle or Haiku to offer blended or online class. compensation to teachers to create and teach courses if an addition to their contract. financial aid at the same level as other programs.
ReplyDeleteSAVINGS: if the school has projected costs to add courses, there can be great savings in adopting online courses instead of piecemeal specialty hires, but that always must be balanced against the face-to-face critical mass your culture or mission dictates.
PRICES: often based on the competition
COURSES: if taking an online courses becomes part of graduation requirements, it makes sense to cover that requirement from the normal tuition
We participate with partner schools through GOA. Our interested students pay for the course on their own. If our faculty teach a class, they are paid by GOA.
